The smoke detector automatically

checks that it is operating correctly

once a minute. It also automatically

readjusts the sensitivity of its

detection optics to suit its environ-

mental conditions.

The unit gives an early warning if its

energy capacity is low or if the

detection optics have become so full

of imperfections that readjustment is

no longer possible. This gives you



alarm with a new unit.

Please ensure that the air inlets

located around the edge of the

smoke alarm are never blocked by

dust, dirt, paint of adhesive tape.

You should check that the unit is

functional on a regular basis, at least

once a month, by pressing the test

and stop button (IV) to activate a test


